Q & A

I’ve tried to answer as many of my most frequently asked questions below but if you need to check anything with me, do get in touch.

Is Sandie trained in Newborn Safety and Posing?

Yes your baby is completely in safe hands. I have done many newborn training course with top UK newborn photographers to ensure safety in posing and knowing all the signs that help make your baby happy and comfortable. I enjoy a relaxed newborn session and go at the flow and pace of your little one. I am a fully insured and registered business with 11 years experience and a mother to 3 children

When to book?

Book in around your 21 week scan or just get in touch and see if i have spaces availlable. I use your due date as a guide, but I understand babies do not go by any sort of planning. I know your little one will be due around that time and keep the space available to you. I do get busy with other bookings so it is best to try and book as soon as you know you want to book in. I also only limit myself to upto 4 newborns per month as I work a wedding season so limit my bookings to give the very best to you all.

Where are you based?

I am based in Kingseat, Newmachar, 5 minutes from Dyce Airport and very close the new by-pass making me easy access to all the surrounding areas.

How old should baby be for the session?

Around 7-21 days old will be great to capture the newborn newness, but don’t worry if you have missed this stage all stages are wonderful and I can do a lovely older newborn set and they will be more awake at the session with lots of gummy smiles.

What if my baby is older?

Also fantastic as we can capture a more relaxed awake session for the older babes. Anytime over 21 days, I suggest 3 months, 8 months (once sitting) or 1 year old birthday milestones are great times to have photographs done.

What do I bring?

I will send you a welcome pack which helps you plan for your session, to make it as simple and easy as possible to come along. If you need style advice for clothing type into pinterest - NEWBORN STUDIO PHOTOGRAPHY CLOTHING and it will give you lots of examples on how to style yourself to taste. I usually ask you to wear all white up top, it is classic and simple for a clean white finish.
