Katie and Adam’s wedding at The Barn at Barra Berries was the perfect mix of relaxed, romantic and effortlessly stylish, the kind of day that truly focuses on what matters most: time with the people you love.
They kept things exciting and meaningful, with lots of little touches made for such a laid back, family focused celebration.
Personal Touches & Standout Moments
There were so many lovely details throughout the day. Instead of a traditional guest book, they chose a fun phone box audio message station, giving them something far more personal to look back on and looked pretty awesome in the corner. Something a little bit different..
The boys wore tailored blue suits (a rare but very welcome change in Scotland), while live music from a piper and Nouveau String Quartet added a beautiful atmosphere during the reception.
One of the most memorable moments? Katie’s dad throwing £1 coins for the children to scramble for, a tradition I’d never seen before, and such a playful part of the day.
A Venue That Works in Any Weather
With typical Scottish wind, we kept outdoor time short, but The Barn at Barra Berries really came into its own.
The indoor space is warm, spacious and perfect for group photos, proving this venue works beautifully whatever the weather.
One of the best things about this venue is how flexible it is. You can bring in your own suppliers and add personal touches, like Katie and Adam’s DIY gin bar, which went down a treat with guests. Their styling was brought together by Without A Hitch and stunning florals from Flowers by Lilibet, creating a look that felt both elegant and luxurious, understated glamour, I loved that.
